Authority has been given to everyone that is a disciple of Jesus Christ (one who believes in His redemptive work on the cross and follows His teaching). This authority was given to Him by God and then given to all of His disciples; this is confirmed in Matthew 28:18 where He said, “All authority in heaven and earth has been given unto me, go therefore…”
For this reason and by the power of the Holy Spirit we do not have to put up with the lies of the enemy. We, through spiritual warfare are the ones in authority on the earth. We don’t exercise that authority against one another but on behalf of one another. Because, being part of the body any spirit harassing one of us is harassing all of us. This is our month to exercise our authority over all the powers of the evil one.
